I haven’t had a Christmas tree in three years. Guess what I HAVE had for three years:

Incidentally, I’ve had this princess for nine years, but she’s never curtailed my décor strategies:

I’ve given up on waiting for the big one to mature….I don’t think it’s ever going to happen, so I’ve put in some research for next year, because I miss my ornaments.
Now, I discover that something I sort of dreamed up as a possibility has now become a TREND. .. the upside down Christmas tree!!! Genius I am!

Obviously, mine would have to be ceiling mounted, but you get the idea.
Now, boy howdy, I am not endorsing this decor scheme (really, Christmas brings out the tack in all of us), but here’s another that’s actually hung from the ceiling-a necessity for the dog situation:

They’d throw in the red swag for free, I’m sure.
If you, like me, are titillated by the idea of the upside down tree, here are some sources:
- A Christmas Tree For Me - 7.5 to 9 feet tall trees ($450-$750)
- Amazon - 4 to 9 feet tall trees ($20-$800)
- Hammacher-Schlemmer
- 7 foot tall pre-lit tree ($599 with lifetime guarantee)
Yikes, did I mention they are crazy expensive….my ornaments might be hibernating for a few more years after all.
